What are the benefits of insulating your home?

If you are thinking of insulating your home be reassured, it will be one of the wisest decisions that you ever make and with generous grants available to help with the installation costs, now is the best time to act. The main benefits to bear in mind are as follows;

1. It is a sensible investment of your money

By installing cavity wall and loft insulation you can save up to £265.00 per year, year on year; £115 from the cavity wall insulation and £150 from the loft insulation per annum. With the current range of grants in (say) a 3 bed semi, the cost to the client would be from £99.00 for cavity and from £149.00 for loft insulation. The payback time for these measures would therefore be less than 1 year and thereafter it would be a clear saving every year.
