Loft Insulation

Almost 25% of our domestic heat is lost through our uninsulated roof. The Energy Savings Trust has calculated that an average household could save £150.00 per year on its heating bills by insulating their roofspace up to current standards and recover the cost of installation in 12 months. They will also save 800Kg of CO2 and reduce their carbon footprint.

SEAL uses fibreglass quilt and the material is cross-layed i.e. the first layer is rolled between the joists and a second layer is rolled across the joists to prevent any “cold bridging” effect through the joists. The loft job will also include insulating any cold water pipes and tanks.

Our loft quilt, amongst other advantages, is non-combustible, rot proof, chemically inert, will not provide sustenance to vermin, has a high thermal insulation value and is kite marked.
